About Us
Ophthalmology24 is an informational website and blog for patients,
ophthalmology specialists, and ophthalmology residents.
How it started...
Due to the unfortunate situation with Ukraine in early 2022, our initial mission was focused solely on helping eye health professionals from Ukraine relocate to Europe. We were slowly building a network of eye doctors willing to help other ophthalmologists and ophthalmology residents in this desperate time of need by offering temporary or long-term accommodation and/or transport.
The project was later picked up by the European Society of Ophthalmology (SOE), who reached out to us to join forces in this mission. If you are a person who seeks help or someone who can offer it, feel free to send us a message or contact SOE on their website. Current Mission
With time, the scope of the project has vastly expanded. Right now, our extended mission is to provide clear and comprehensive information about vision, eye care, innovative treatments, upcoming medical events, and resident education by covering a wide spectrum of ophthalmology-related topics. We are focusing our efforts on both patients and medical professionals in the field.
It does not matter if you are an ophthalmologist, optometrist, medical student, resident, patient, or just a genuinely curious person that cares about their vision and long-term well-being. We have something for everyone. In our ophthalmology blog, you will find reliable eyecare resources and articles backed up by research, observation, scientific facts and statistics, and written by our internal team as well as established guest-writer ophthalmologists and ophthalmology residents from all across the globe.
